It’s a Masquerade!

After hours of labour work (not really), I’ve finally successfully put up a new theme. And with that, come brand new smileys! :lol: These are definitely not my favourite set of smileys, but eh, they will do for now. Besides, I have yet to find cute ones.

The theme was quite easy to install and tweak, although the “italic” and “bold” visuals wouldn’t show up on the posts automatically like they should be, which bumped me because I rely on them both for blogging. So I took matters to my hands and edited the stylesheet manually using the HTML “font-weight” and “font-style” codes. Haha. :lol: Everything looks much better now!

Moving on, I managed to buy the new album yesterday. And to be honest, I’m not really impressed. I think there are only like, 4-5 songs that I really, really like, and they are the only ones that I tend to put on repeat. “Straight Through My Heart” is one of them – I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it, though I still don’t get the video? I’m not really good in actually reviewing an album, but all in all, I wish there would be more awesome songs in This Is Us. But then again, it’s probably just me. Perhaps my expectations were too high?

I think those are all. Another boring entry, I know. But like I said, I am trying to update more often. I’m going to go and have This Is Us another listen, especially of the other songs. Who knows, I might grow to like the album after all.

Wordpress 2.7

So I woke up this morning to my WP dashboard informaing me that it was time for an upgrade to Wordpress 2.7. Honestly, I don’t really go to Wordpress.org to check the latest news/updates, since the nifty Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin has been nice enough to inform me of them every single time.

Anyway, while I was doing the upgrade, I had it in my mind (like always) that it was probably just a bug/security fix upgrade or something little of that kind. So, imagine my surprise and my delight when I was brought to the new admin interface! I fell in love with it instantly!

Personally, I think the interface is cleaner and more organized. It takes a fewer clicks to get around it, and it’s more ORGANIZED. And have I mentioned that it’s more organized?

I love Wordpress 2.7. What about you?

I’m actually forcing myself to update this blog, to write this post. How pathetic is that? Nyaha! Sometimes I wonder where all of my enthusiasm of writing a blog has gone to. *shrugs* Anyway, here I am blogging, so let’s be happy!

I changed the theme color to Pink/Beige – something I never thought I’d do. I was never a fan of Pink or anything even remotely related to the color Pink. But somehow, I think I’m currently a new fan! Is it because I constantly had to watch my room mate worship the Pink color everywhere she went? If you must know, she has everything Pink on her side of her room. Her table, her bed, her clothes, her accessories, you name it! And somehow, I grew from sick to somewhat amazed of looking of it, haha. So yes, maybe my room mate has something to do with me being a new Pink fan. It’s so weird, but so true.

I’m currently in my one-week mid-semester break, and I’m trying my very best to enjoy all the time in the world that I have in this short week. Why? Well because when Uni re-opens, we’re going to have a Convocation ceremony for last year’s graduates, and I’m unfortunately involved in every little way possible. Yay! *insert sarcasm here*

I’m looking on the bright side, though, since the boyfriend is one of the graduates I was talking about. Yep, he’s graduating in a few weeks and I can’t help but feel like a proud parent! :D

Speaking of enjoying all the time in the world, we’re going bowling with the boyfriend and some friends tomorrow! It’s been ages since I went bowling. I wonder if I can still hold the ball right, nyaha.

Where has jaimeking.net gone to? It used to be one of the best fan sites on Jaime King, but it has completely vanished since last year. I’m a huge fan of her acting, and really wouldn’t mind bringing her fan site back online and running it just to get her name out there.

Bleh, I’m hungry. Please excuse me while I go find something to eat, and please do excuse my growling stomach as well.
