The Billy Elliot Boy.

I’m in week four of my five-week semester holiday, and apart from spending some quality time with my mom and working on my sites, the past three weeks have been boring. I had actually planned to spend some awesome time with my friends, but the thing about studying in different universities in different countries is that you don’t tend to have breaks/vacations at the same time! Bleh. :( And to add to that, the boyfriend has been busy as well. He has been in and out of town for the past month to finish the album, so it has been rather difficult to find time to get together. He’s actually in KL right now and will be through Friday. Let’s hope we might be able to spend a little bit of time after that, before I have to go back to school.

I spent a few hours before bed last night watching Billy Elliot. It’s definitely not the kind of movie I usually watch, but Jamie Bell was the title character so I rented the DVD. :P The movie was interesting and Jamie did an incredibly great job portraying Billy, but my favourite part was the ending, which I think is one of the best endings I have ever seen for a movie. It was just so emotionally empowering. That absolute pride in his father’s face and the tears in his eyes, the music and Billy’s powerful entrance – the whole scene just gave me chills and goosebumps. It was a really, really good end to the movie.

And this particular scene/ending is apparently on YouTube. I don’t usually embed videos on my blog, but I guess there’s always a first for everything? :P You might have to turn your volume up a notch to watch it. ;)

The actor who portrayed 25 year-old Billy is Adam Cooper, who is apparently a professional dancer. For a moment there, I thought I saw Jonathan Rhys Meyers, haha.

In other news, I am still impatiently waiting for my Ugly Betty DVD in the mail. It has been two weeks since I bought it on eBay, I think. I hope it didn’t get thrown out at sea or something on the way here, haha. Oh, and speaking of online orders, Amazon doesn’t ship to Singapore! I wanted to buy the Val Emmich albums that I don’t have yet off there, but eh. :grumpy:

I think I’ve blogged enough. Have a good week!

Here we go again.

It’s official. I have been so neglecting this blog. Haha.

But moving along. I have two very busy weeks ahead of me. I’m sitting for four exams next week and one the next week after. I’m hoping to really, really ace all papers, because I’m only taking five this semester compared to the eight previously. I cannot believe that I have only ONE semester left to go after those papers are done and over with! It seems like it was only yesterday that I told everyone that I was going to Law School. Ah, how time has passed!

Anyway, I spent the whole day with the boyfriend yesterday and I’m glad I did. He had been really busy with his scriptwriting and I with school. We’ve missed each other. He’s going out of town next week to finish the album he’s currently working on, and I don’t think that would be too bad since I will be keeping myself busy with exams. So it’s all good. But hopefully, we will get to get together after that.

Blah, that was another short and boring entry, but I feel like I should update. See you guys in two weeks!

It’s nice to have you back.

Ah, so let’s see. This time, I left this place collecting dust without a new post for almost 4 months. Wow, that’s a new record! How embarrassing. Tsk.

So what have I been up to? Well my final year in University started a few weeks ago, so I have been busy with buying new books, reading new modules and getting into the Uni mood again. The latter wasn’t that hard to do, since I was really looking forward to start studying again. Reasons? One, three months of holiday had been fun, but it was enough. And two, I am finally in my FINAL year in Law School. I can’t wait to get through it and have everything done and over with. :)

Anyway, time passed and I’m now already in my one-week mid-semester break. I reached home on Friday and went to one of my best friend’s wedding the next day on August 1st, where I managed to reunite with some of my friends from high school. We had a huge hug-fest and were cam-whoring till late. Good times, haha!

In other news, I’m spending the whole day (hopefully) with the boyfriend this coming Wednesday. We haven’t really spent time with each other in a long time. He was actually hoping to meet me tomorrow, but I’m having my routine eye appointment at 2pm. I had an eye surgery on May 8th, if you must know. I’m recovering nicely, though. I still have to put two types of eye drops twice a day for the next few months or so, but other than that, I’m good.

Okay, that was a really boring post. I’m going to have to stop here before I bore you even more. Have a pleasant week!
