Competition?

So I started my new semester. It has great so far - new subjects, a couple of new lecturers and new juniors. We also welcomed a new student to our class. I’m quite intimidated by her in a sense that I can no longer have a high rank in class, and am trying my very best not to look at her as my competitor. I don’t actually look at anyone as one, but I think I am looking at her as so. It’s weird having this intimidation-y and competition-y feelings. After much thought though, I’m going to be looking at all of these as a motivation to drive me to work even more harder. Faizal told me to just do my best like I have during the past semesters, and I know he is right. :)

Eek! I cannot believe that I have not updated my Chris Gorham fan site in a while. Though, to tell you the truth, it’s pretty hard to get new updates on him nowadays. Boo. In the meantime, Kathryn Morris Fan is my new baby, if anyone’s interested. :D

Ah, I actually wanted to change the theme’s color scheme to pink and beige, but I changed my mind and decided to stick to this color combo for a while. I have never been a fan of pink, except in my younger years when I wanted to be Kimberly, the pink Power Ranger. :D

New host, New theme!

I’ve been incredibly busy with my websites and part-time job, but I’ve definitely not forgotten about this place. Blog updates have been and will be just really slow, that is all. Plus, I’m starting the new semester in University next week, eek! But hey, here I am blogging. Yay!

I’ve moved this blog to The Fan Sites Network, by the way. Refer to this entry if you want to know why I left Wordpress.com.

And with a new host, comes a new theme! Because well, if you have not found your way to that little entry yet, the main reason I moved to Gertie’s: I want to be able to use my favourite themes and such. Also, I had been eying this particular theme over at Becca’s blog for some time. Heh. I’m so happy that everything from my previous WP account at Wordpress.com has been imported to my current account here. Entries, comments, the whole nine yards! Wordpress rocks, yay! And I still don’t understand why I used to hate it so much before.

Forgive me, visitors, for not returning your comments. Aside from being a lazy ass, I’ve pretty much become a busy bee. But fret not, I will return them as soon as I can. Promise! And thank you so much for taking your time to read my humble entries and comment. You guys rock!

Well, I’d better get back to my movie. I was actually watching I Am Sam before I thought of posting my first entry as Gertie’s hostee, hee. So, excuse me while I go finish the heart-breaking but brilliant show.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

My dad turned 55 yesterday. It’s funny how he almost forgot about it, haha. We took him to his favourite restaurant for a small birthday dinner, and made him order practically anything he wanted. My brothers and I got him a new phone, as he was always complaining on how “slim” his current phone was and how it was difficult to type a text message because well, it was “really slim”. Haha.

Anyway, the results of my final exams are finally out! I was actually getting crazy at how many times the release date of the results were being postponed. Well, it came out on Wednesday and I’ve got an overall GPA of 4.0. Yay! I start my new semester this June, and I just canNOT wait. Sitting at home, and just focusing on my part-time job and websites can be pretty monotonous, I just realized.

I’m still in my two-month semester break, and I’m supposed to post a lot of entries into this blog but I guess I’m not. Heh. Laziness might be one reason, but seriously, sometimes I just don’t know what to blog about. I’m weird that way.

I’m transferring this blog to my hosting space with the incredible Gertie soon. Wordpress.com has been great, but I want to be able to use my favourite themes and such. I actually created an account here in the first place for fun, and wanted to see what this place has to offer. But, I guess I’m moving to Gertie’s.

Spam, you suck. Uncle, you rock!

I just spent the last 2 hours deleting over 700 spam comments I have in my gallery of my AJ fansite, as well as browsing through the Coppermine Support Forum to try and find the solution to stop those stupid comments. Good news: I found the solution! Bad news: I am exhausted.

What a great way to start my 2-month semester holiday after a 3-week long exam period. Boo.

In lighter news, though, my friends and I are heading out on a road trip to KL this Monday. Everything is looking good, especially since we don’t have to pay for the hotel we’re staying at for 4 days! You see, my (incredibly rich) uncle owns the four-star hotel in KL - Royale Bintang Damansara - and so, I quote, in account of me, we wouldn’t have to pay a single cent for our stay!

I’m incredibly excited. We might also get a free Limo ride from the hotel to Sunway Lagoon. It’s been ages since I last went to such an awesome theme park. I’ll be sure to do a complete pic spam and post pictures here when I get back. Ah, I can’t wait to get into the jacuzzi free-of-charge.

Well, I’d better get back to uploading the many, many files I have for the gallery; AMF.net has not been updated in 2 months. Eek!

4 down, 4 more to go.

I have only 4 more papers to go before holidays! My next paper will be this Friday and my last paper will be on March 28th. I definitely cannot wait for everything to just end.

My first year in University had been fine, I guess (and I cannot wait for my second year to start). A truckload of (good and bad) unexpected things happen. I hate that I had to go through some of them, but I guess that’s just how life works. Plus, since the first year started, I realize that I can never have actual time for running my websites. Which is bad bad, obviously. A good example: my AJ fansite. That baby is in need of a total revamp and UPDATE.

Sometimes I feel that I should just forget about this whole fansite thing since I’m just too busy with Uni, but at the same time, I cannot deny the fact that it’s actually fun. I love designing layouts (although sometimes it can take me forever and a day), coding them, uploading files with ftp, update and whatnot. Running a fansite is definitely hard work, but at the end of the day, I do enjoy every single second of it.

Anyway, I really should get back to my books so that I don’t have to burn the midnight oil to get everything covered.

P/S: I finally got The Sims 2 (with its full expansion packs) installed on this new laptop of mine! All thanks to the boyfriend, hee. Now if only I can get through the exams faster. Sigh. I want to play!
