Chun-Li rocks!

I went out to the city last night with the boyfriend. It was exhausting, but incredibly fun! We actually met up earlier that afternoon to sort of accompany his 19 year-old adorable sister (along with her boyfriend) to register for ITE’s April intake. After registering and buying uniforms and such, they went their own way to find a present at Junction 8 for a friend’s birthday. My boyfriend and me however, decided to travel to The Cathay to watch a movie!
His other sister, Abby works at the Cineplex (Cinema Complex) over there, so we had free tickets! I wanted so bad to see My Bloody Valentine 3D, but Abby had already printed out the tickets for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li before hand. I did not complain though, since they were free!
Abby even sent us free popcorn and drinks to our seats!
Honestly, although I did not complain on having to watch Street Fighter, I had a feeling that I would probably not like the movie since I’m not really a huge fan of action movies. But Chun-Li definitely made me eat back my words! I have to admit that the movie is by far the best action movie I have ever seen my entire life. Seriously. Kristen Kreuk was phenomenal, and Edmund Chen? I was like, “Ooh, a local actor!” when I first saw him on the screen. And an incredible one at that!
I definitely recommend watching Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. I am still not a fan of action movies, so I understand if you are also not one, but you should watch this one. Because I did and I loved it!

Wow, free movie AND free food? I was working at the wrong movie theater. The one I worked at, first of all you could only take one person in with you for free. And I would have to go watch the movie with the person I was taking in for free. And we didn’t get free food, even for ourselves. All we got was $3 off of a combo. I feel ripped off now haha.
That’s great that you enjoyed the movie. I’m not an action movie fan either so that is not a movie I would be interested in going to see. However, if I also had free tickets, then I probably would go.
That sounds interesting enough.
I used to play the old SF games on Sega Genesis so I might have to go check it out.
I don’t understand why they’d make a movie out of Street Fighter, and why the cast shown on the movie posters aren’t exactly Asian. I’d only go see it if I had free tickets though, lol.
